We are currently living in Phnom Penh, so wanted to have a couple of days away but not with too much driving! Kratie is a perfect destination for a weekend away. We loved staying at Le Relais de Chhlong. A beautifully restored colonial villa with incredible attention to details, the decor and furnishings are perfect and it has such a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. Staff are lovely and friendly and Pierre could not do more for us. He organised tuk tuks for us to go and see the river dolphins in Kratie, this was an incredible experience. Bedrooms luxurious and huge, slept so well. Lovely food too. And the best bit, we could take our lovely dog with us as they are pet friendly! Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Pierre and all your staff.

This is a really beautiful place! You feel like in another time. The manager and the staff did everything to let us feel at home. Thank you very much.
Perfect place to relax a few days and go for a walk in the surroundings. The village of Chhlong is very authentic and the people so friendly and welcoming.

Vaut le détour!

Sehr empfehlenswert!

It’s was worth our trip there in Chhlong, the manager and service staff at the hotel are attentive and thoughtful. The hotel itself is amazing and carefully restored. Lots of attention has been put into the renovation of this colonial building as shown in the quality finishing and fittings used. The suite is very comfortable. Le Relais de Chhlong is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. The manager is kind and very thoughtful and that make the experience there more wonderful and we will come back again and will recommend our friends on this wonderful place. Well done.

We had a fabulous stay at Le Relais de Chhlong. The staff was very helpful.
The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated.
The whole place is absolutely gorgeous and very peaceful.
Don’t miss the amok served at the restaurant. It’s one of the best one I ever had in over 3 years!
I’ll definitely come back!

This is a perfect place for a week-end away from Phnom Penh or for a stop on the road to Kratié or Mondolkiri. It is a pleasure to stay at the beautiful house with a truly authentic atmosphere, and we can also go out to spend some time at the local village and in the countryside around.
Staff speaks good English and take very good care of the guests.
I will be back.

The owners have restored the main building in a fantastic way. The two auxiliary buildings are new but also built in the same old colonial style. The rooms are beautiful with eye on details. Beautiful bathrooms, great decoration, classic ceiling fans, nice furniture, central air (so no ugly boxes), simply perfect. A very nice swimming pool and on top of that a great menu and wine list. If you go to see the dolphins this would be my number one choice to stay or just for a weekend to get out of phnom penh with a group of friends. With his huge investment and the small number of rooms it will be hard to keep this place out of the red figures. But it certainly deserves success.

It was a real pleasure to stay few days in this beautiful colonial house transformed in a boutique hotel with a lot of charm. The bathroom of the room is a must. I guess the owner must be a fan of art deco style and he achieve something very exceptional there. Garden is huge and swimming pool too. We had great time and as the place just opened we wish the best to all the friendly team there. Soon hope I can go back there.
